Clubs and Organizations

In accordance with Texas Senate Bill 12 (SB12), a parent or guardian must provide written permission before a student may participate in any club. This form is required for all student clubs in Grand Prairie ISD, including curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular and competitive clubs.

  • If a club has prerequisites for membership (such as grade eligibility, applications, courses, etc.), those requirements must be met before the student can be accepted as a member.
  • Completing this form does not enroll a student in the club. Students must still contact the sponsor or attend meetings to join.
  • This form provides parental permission only.

FEDEX Purple Pathways

FedEx Purple Pathways

What is FedEx Purple Pathways?
FedEx Purple Pathways is a career development program designed to help FedEx team members grow their skills, gain new experiences, and build long-term careers—either within FedEx or beyond. It’s all about creating opportunity, especially for frontline workers who want to move into higher roles.

🚛 How Purple Pathways Works

Let’s say Maria would like to look for a job while in school here at Crosswinds.  She’s hardworking, but she doesn’t yet have a college degree or management experience.

Crosswinds has teamed up with FEDEX  Purple Pathways, which offers Maria access to:

  • On-the-job training

  • Mentorship

  • Education support (like tuition assistance)

  • Leadership development programs

During the FEDEX Cohort during completing the program, Maria can apply  Package Handler. once she is hired, she now has the opportunity to lead a team—and she can do it with the support of the Purple Pathways program.

💼 Why It Matters

FedEx created Purple Pathways to invest in its people. It’s not just about filling jobs—it’s about helping employees grow careers. By 2025, FedEx plans to help more than 10,000 frontline team members move into higher-paying and leadership roles through this program.

Kindness Crew: Spreading Positivity One Act at a Time 🌟

At Crosswinds Accelerated High School, we believe that kindness is the heart of a strong and inclusive community. That’s why we’re proud to introduce the Kindness Crew — a student-led team dedicated to spreading positivity, compassion, and support throughout our school.

💖 What Is the Kindness Crew?

The Kindness Crew is a group of students from all grades who come together with one simple mission: to make kindness a habit. Whether it’s welcoming new students, organizing school-wide kindness challenges, writing thank-you notes to staff, or helping classmates who are having a tough day, the Kindness Crew leads by example and inspires others to do the same.

🌈 What Do They Do?

Some of the activities and initiatives run by the Kindness Crew include:

  • Kindness Week with themed days and challenges

  • Compliment Boards around the school

  • Thank You Thursdays – where they give small notes or treats to teachers and staff

  • Peer Support Programs to check in with fellow students

  • Random Acts of Kindness Campaigns

  • School-wide service projects and community outreach

🤝 Why It Matters

In a world that can sometimes feel divided or overwhelming, at Crosswinds small acts of kindness have the power to make a big difference. The Kindness Crew helps create a safe and supportive environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
